Built by attorneys, for attorneys.

We're practicing attorneys who saw firsthand how expensive and inaccessible traditional focus groups are. So we built something better.

The founders

Ron Netemeyer and Jill Harper are partners at Harper, Evans, Hilbrenner & Netemeyer in Columbia, Missouri, where they represent clients in personal injury, wrongful death, and workers' compensation cases. With years of trial experience, they've consistently faced the same frustration: traditional focus groups cost $20,000-$50,000 and take weeks to organize.

For most cases and most attorneys, professional case testing simply wasn't an option. Ron and Jill knew there had to be a better way—one that would make these critical insights accessible to every attorney, not just those representing clients with the biggest cases.

Meet the team

From pitch to platform in 54 hours.

In April 2025, Ron and Jill pitched their idea at Missouri Startup Weekend in Columbia. Fifty-four hours later, they walked away as winners.

Ron and Jill teamed up with software engineer Ben Zalasky to build a working prototype of Focus over the course of the weekend. They demonstrated how attorneys could upload case materials and receive feedback from potential jurors—all online, at a fraction of traditional costs.

The judges recognized the potential immediately. Focus won first place and a prize package valued at over $45,000, including development resources, legal services, and mentorship. That validation helped turn a weekend project into the platform you see today.
